So, how many of you have gotten your rebate money from the govt. already?  We haven't gotten ours yet, and we're starting to get nervous about it.

Someone told me that it goes by the last four digits of your social security number, but that doesn't seem true, or else I would have at least gotten mine.  Someone else told me it goes by last name, but that can't be right based on people I know who already got their checks.   We're supposed to get it via direct deposit, so I've been looking online obsessively for it daily, to no avail.

I AM EAGER FOR THIS MONEY.  WHERE IS IT?!?!?!?!

I heard from a reliable source (my husband) that it's actually only the last TWO digits of your SS#--which fits with the pattern of rebates amongst friends so far.

It goes by the last two digits of your social security number. Mine was between 20 and 30, so I got it the second Friday of May.

How did you file? If you went through H&R (road)Block, they have your money. If you e-filed, it'll be deposited directly. If you filed by mail but wrote your checking account number on there to direct deposit it, it'll direct deposit.

I heard from a reliable source (won't tell the source) that your rebate money was sent to Canada because team USA is trying to grease referees before their next hockey game. You know, they don't have any chance to win team Finland. USA lost already once and they will try all the dirty tricks but nothing can help. GO FINLAND GO!!!

(So sorry if you don’t see your money for a while!)

it depends on the last 2 numbers of your ss #. Since my name was first on our tax filing and my last two digits are between 00 and 20, we got our payment direct deposited on May 2nd.

the schedule can be found here http://www.irs.gov/irs/article/0,,id=180250,00.html
