I don't like waiting in lines, and I also do not like wasting time, so if I go out into the world where I have to deal with people and buying things, I try to stay succinct, and ready. I don't slowly start looking for my wallet after all my items have already been rung up and placed into bags - I have already slid my debit card through the slot and been done before the first item even SAW a bag. I pay attention to what is going on around me, so that I am never the douchebag holding up the line because I'm too busy picking lint out of my belly button, or whatever. In fast food restaurants, I already know what I want before I've hit the drive-thru, and you would think this would be appreciated by the person working the squawking box, but that is not always the case. Like today, for instance. I went to Taco Bell, and was dismayed to see the cars wrapped halfway around the building. Inside looked just as bad, so I stuck with the drive through and waited for what felt like an eternity until it was my turn to talk into the little speaker.
